Processing and taking care of your images is our number one priority after your session. This page will explain all the details from how your images are stored to some helpful info you should know when picking out your files.

Where are your files after your session?

- After we finish shooting, we do everything within our power to ensure your images are safe and protected. When we get home from your shoot, we immediately take the photos from the cards in our camera and put them on multiple hard drives on our computers. We also make a backup copy to keep off site just in case! Your photos are always in three places which ensures that even if one hard drive fails, we've got you covered.

How and when do you see your images after the shoot?

- All of our proofing takes place online. About three weeks after your shoot, you'll be provided with the information you need to view your photos. The process is simple and easy to use! You'll log in with the provided password and will be able to view all the photos taken during your session. When you decide on the photos you want, it's as simple as a few clicks of the mouse and your order is sent directly to us!

Is it possible to get a disc with all of the photos from your session?

- Yes! We call this a DVD of digital negatives. Your disc will contain all of the digital negatives you see in your proofing galley as well as all the photos you order directly through us.

What are digital negatives?

- Digital negatives are essentially your images, straight from our cameras, with a bit of pre-processing applied. This is the state that your images are in when stored on our computers. When you order an image from us, it is fully processed. We spend a lot of time on each image you order to ensure that they look perfect when they are printed! Negatives make great personal prints but don't compare to the professionally printed images included in your package.

What effects can be added to my photos?

- You can do quite a bit with the photos from your session! Photos can be changed from color to black and white as well as a myriad of other colored filters. We can truly customize the look of your photos in almost anyway you can imagine. Our goal when editing your images is to stay true to the photo while adding just a bit of a punch but the sky is the limit so just ask!

Does print size matter when selecting an image?

- Yes! The shape and aspect ratio of print sizes are not always the same. For example, a 4x6 is more of a rectangular print compared to an 8x10 which is closer to a square. Keep this in mind when selecting your images. If someone in your photo is near the edge of the image, you need to pick a wider print size. Different print sizes like 8x12 or 4x5 are always available too!
