Here's a little combo post of our last three engagement sessions! Despite multiple weather delays with a few of the couples below, they all ended up with beautiful and unique sessions. As I browsed through each couple's photos, I found it hard to pick my favorites. Hopefully I did each session justice!
On another note, one thing I love and hope you notice too is the quality of the light. It really pays to shoot in great light. All three sessions were either in the morning or evening with gives us wonderful color to work with in a variety of locations. We can shoot more and really use the area we are working in. If only every wedding could be scheduled around perfect light!
I'm starting on a new wedding post right after this so stay tuned!

Kelsey & Josh's blog post is way over due! I've been meaning to get their photos up for a while now and finally found the time this evening. I'm happy I did because I really love their session.
We worked with this couple last fall when the colors downtown were spectacular. It's funny how each season can contribute such a unique look to a location. The oranges, reds, and yellows were just awesome. Combine that with a great couple who is fun and natural and you can guarantee a pretty successful session! We're looking forward to Kelsey & Josh's wedding this October.

I wanted to get another post up quickly today and chose a few of Kate & Andrew to share! Anna shot their engagement last year and had a blast. I think her favorite detail about the session were the signs Andrew brought. He used them when he proposed to Kate and decided to incorporate them in to the photos. They were a great addition! We can't wait to work with this couple again in July on their wedding day!

Summer is finally here! After a long school year, (In case you didn't know, I teach 4th grade!) I'm back to thinking about all things photography day in and day out! That means more blog posts coming your way soon. Sorry for the delay!
Laura & Micah's wedding is coming up quickly and we knew we had to get their photos up on the blog ASAP! We have more connections with Laura than almost any other bride we are working with this year. She loves cameras and photography, checks our Facebook and blog regularly (which we absolutely love!), and even lives in our neighborhood. We see her all the time!
Working with Laura and Micah was like working with close friends. They were both so fun and enthusiastic which made the session much more enjoyable! Another great thing about Laura is that she is genuinely excited about her photos. We spend a lot of time on our work and our business, and working with a couple that cares so much about their images is that much more rewarding!
We can't wait for Laura & Micah's wedding on June 17th!

Renae & Brad's wedding was the first of the 2011 season and because of good old Nebraska weather, we shot their engagement session only about three weeks before! We had a few dates on the calendar prior but ended up trying to wait for a better day instead of shooting in freezing temperatures. You never know what you're going to get in February and March!
Despite the high winds on the day of the session, we were able to work around the rain and shoot with Renae & Brad. We both had a lot of fun spending time with this down to earth couple. They were fun, genuine, and willing to really open up and show how much they were in love. The photos really turned out great!
